Arthur Ross Pinetum is a beautiful collection of pine trees in the central park. It is a purposely built collection of ever green pines from around the world. Even species from himalyas can be found here.
It is located at the level of 84th to 86th street, just to the northwest of the Great Lawn.It has central park police precinct towards its north and summit rock towards its southwest
The pinetum attracts special attention during the winter because it the rest of the trees are not green at that time.
There are play areas for children and benches for the every one. Like its main inhabitants this it one of the central Park's areas which is evergreen and can be enjoyed around the year.
