he Concert Ground is located in the mid park area from 71st to 72nd street. It is the point where The Mall and Bethesda Terrace meet each other. On east side of Concert Ground is Rumsey Playfield and on West are the Mineral Springs.
The function of stage for the concerts and performances is served by the Naumburg Bandshell. The Bandshell is located on the eastren corner of the concert ground. It was built in 1923 to replace the old metallic Bandshell. The Concert Ground along with the Naumburg Bandshell is a hub of cultural activites in the Central Park. These activities are at their peak in the summer. A number of famous artists and other personalities have perfomred on the Bandshell
