Nutter's Battery is one of the few historic military fortifications present in the Central Park New York City. It is located in the North-East part of the central park from 107th to 108th street. the Meer forms semi circle around it on its Northren and Eastren sides.
On its South-West is the Lasker Rink and Pool and on its South-East is anther histric military fortification the fort clinton.
The Battery served during the the Amercian Revolution wars during the 19th century. The Northren part of the Central Park had a stratigically significant topograpy and served as important defensive point.
Now a days the Battery reminds the visitors of the historic importance of Manhattan and Central Park area and offers a beautiful viewing point for the adjacent lying Meer
