Heckscher Ballfield is one of the Central Park's three baseball and softball play areas. The other two being the Great Lawn and NOrth Meadow.It is located in the south-westren park of the park from 63rd t0 66th Street. Near by areas include Sheep Meadows on the north and Chess and Checkers House, Wollman Rink and Cape Cot on its east.
The Heckscher Ballfields actually have 6 fields which allow the player to play softball and baseball. Surrounding the fields are bleachers which allow the spectators to have a good view of the game. Restroom facilites are also available.
