Harlem meer is the second largest water body in the park at a size of around 11 acres, second only to The Reservoir in size. It is located in the North-Eastern end of the park from 106th to 110th street.
Nearby attractions include Dana discovery center towards its north, Nutters Battery and Fort Clinton towards its south and Lasker Rink and Pool towards its South-West.



The word Meer mean a lake,its was reconstructed in 1990s to its present form. Its a hub of various activities specially during the summers.You can relax and do nothing or can do activities like catch and release fishing etc.


The Meer is also the home to various water animals like fish and turtle and water birds. Duck island is a small island situated in the western part of the Meer near the shore line. Here different animals and birds can have a habitation undisturbed by humans
